Today’s Fun with Flowers Blog Hop is filled with inspiring projects that share some great ideas—we are excited to share what we’ve made and hope you’ll find great inspiration from our talented team members in this hop. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

2014-2016 InColor Collection

Today I am sharing a mostly one-layer card featuring the Number of Years stamp set, Suite Sayings and the 2014–2106 In Color collection from Stampin’ Up! I wanted this no-frills cards to showcase how a few stamps and a lovely collection of ink and markers can make a simple and pretty card.

The card features the soon-to-retire 2014–2016 In Color Collection. Barring some act of the stamping gods, we’ll soon be without these beautiful colors including Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey and Lost Lagoon; my favorites in the collection. These colors work so well together and offers a variety perfect for a flowery field.Stampin' Up! In Color 2014-2016I stamped-off mossy meadow to create a lighter shade for the greenery and added touches of purple, yellow and blue for the flowers included in the Number of Years stamp set. The sentiment from Suite Sayings was colored using Stampin’ Write markers in matching colors. Using markers makes it simple to stamp a multi-color image without the hassle of masking or lining up two stamps.

A thin layer Tangelo Twist cardstock adds a touch of brightness to the edge of card.

I love today’s card. It’s a clever way to remind us of the colors that will soon retire, but more than that it is a very beautiful creation. The way you’ve encircled the sentiment is sweet and so simple. Great inspiration!
