Hello Global Design Project

Celebrate Every Day

HELLO! We’ve got a great color challenge for you this week at Global Design Project. Let me tell you, it’s caused a bit of chatter behind the scenes, but I think I’ve found a great way to answer the call. The Celebrate Every Day Project Life® Accessory Pack by Stampin’ Up! includes the challenge colors and maybe that’s cheating, but I love this combination after making a face at it the first time I saw it.

Global Design Project GDP073

This week, we are playing with Daffodil Delight, Emerald Envy and Watermelon Wonder. These three, beautifully bright, saturated colors make it a little difficult to imagine them in a simple or elegant way; ergo the challenge for me. When flipping through my stash however, I came across the Celebrate Every Day Project Life Accessory Pack. After a little research, I was pleased to see that all of the challenge colors are included in the set.

One particular little card in the set inspired my background. Using the same color scheme, I stamped one of the borders from the Tin of Cards stamp set. Stamping off on some of the colors, gives the illusion of even more colors. Two of the lines are also embossed using Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder.

Celebrate Every Day Project Life Kit

Two stickers were attached using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Before adhering the stickers, I used my Embossing Buddy® to remove the adhesive from the back. The flower sticker is stuck on with one layer of Dimensionals and the “Hello” sentiment uses two layers of Dimensionals to pop up even higher.

One each of the enamel dots included in the kit are stuck nearby to reinforce the colors in this week’s challenge. There is so much more to this kit and many ways you can combine the elements to make it work for you.

Celebrate Every Day Project Life Accessory Pack

The Celebrate Every Day Project Life Accessory includes an assortment of silver foil/acetate cards, enamel dots, washi tape and even a small stamp set that is perfect for this week’s color challenge. Of course, it’s also perfect to embellish your Project Life album.

I hope you enjoyed the card today. Take some time this week to make a card or other project using this week’s challenge colors and be sure to share it with us at Global Design Project.

Be a Global Design Project Guest Designer

Because it’s a color challenge, one winner will also be chosen as a guest designer for our next color challenge. Don’t pass up on that opportunity.
