New In Color Preview for Global Design Project

One thing that’s great about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, is the chance to get sneak peeks of upcoming products. Today, I’m sharing one of five new colors from the soon to be released 2017–2019 In Color Collection. Say hello to Fresh Fig! This muted-purple is going to fit in perfectly in my stamping stash. Stampin’ Up! is great at filling in those gaps in the everyday color collections with trendy new In Colors and this is no exception. I used it sparingly on today’s card for Global Design Project: A Sketch Challenge (seen below).

Today’s card features the That’s the Tag Bundle from the 2017 Occasions Catalog. This kit includes stamps and cutting dies that may be combined in a number of ways to create unique tags for gifts and to decorate cards too. Here’s one I posted before.

I also wanted to feature lots of texture using two methods. First the background was scored at an angle using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I scored at each line up to 16, then skipped a groove. The next embossing is using the new Hexagon Dimensional Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. These dimensional folders are beautiful because they don’t just emboss at one level, which makes for a more dynamic, realistic impression.

To add additional interest, I used Copper for a little shine. On the background, Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder was randomly “sprayed” before embossing. To do this, I mixed Multipurpose Glue with a little water and tapped a brush over the piece. Next I poured the embossing powder, removed the excess and heated the powder. Metallic Copper Thread was wrapped several times vertically for more bling.

Fresh Fig, Sweet Sugarplum, Dapper Denim

Besides Fresh Fig, today’s card also features colors from the 2016–2018 In Color Collection: Dapper Denim and Sweet Sugarplum. I hope you enjoyed the card today. If you’d like a chance to add Fresh Fig and four more brand new In Color inks to your collection, join my team. As a demonstrator (either for hobby or to earn extra income), you will be eligible to get these new colors, plus an exclusive product suite before anyone else. Click here for details.

Be sure to check out more inspiration from the Global Design Project team. Add your card to the lineup using the provided sketch. Happy stamping!
