Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! Today’s Blog Hop is filled with projects that offer you a sneak peek at new items in Stampin’ Up!’s 2017 Annual Catalog. We are so excited about the June 1 release of this new catalog—it’s AMAZING—and we are excited to share our sneak peek creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Today I’m sharing some In Color magic that makes this birthday card pop with color. Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist make their official debut on June 1, 2017 and a little Emerald Envy is a great addition to this color palette. Also available this June: Happy Birthday Thinlits Die can be both the focal point and the sentiment for an easy birthday card you can make any time you need one.
Here’s the recipe for an easy card you can make in minutes:
Make a background with the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A piece of Berry Burst (or any fun color) cardstock cut to 4″ x 5 ¼” gets embossed and glued over the same color A4 card. A few drops of glue on the sentiment which was cut from a contrasting piece of cardstock gets glued over that. Then a simple little embellishment like the balloon from the upcoming Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set introduces another color and adds all the pop. Add a little sparkle with Jewel Basic Rhinestones.
I hope you like this quick and easy idea. Go ahead and find a few colors you like together. You can make enough of these to get you through a month of birthdays in just a few minutes and they look so fun!
